Patterns, structures, and textures are ubiquitous in our world. They provide the quirks and qualities that define what a thing is, how we interact with it, and potentially the role it plays in our lives.

Interestingly, the same is true for everything around us that is invisible, undetectable to us without specialized instrumentation and novel methods of interrogation. We are surrounded by multiple environments within our environment. And these spaces are filled with minuscule characteristics that are fundamental to a thing’s form and function, yet exist as aspects and attributes most people will never see.

I have had the great fortune to work with a variety of tools and techniques that permit the investigation of things that were previously beyond our grasp. I work to recontextualize collected files, scenes, views, and data of interest; exploring their found lines, shapes, and topologies. I rework this digital media through subtle manipulations to create new tangible pieces. I hope to inspire the same inquisitiveness and curiosity that drove the original desire to make the invisible visible.
